SEXY Italian Sophie Sandolo has launched a crusade to rid women's golf of its prudish, tweed skirt and blue-rinse image.

The 28-year-old rising star of the European Ladies' pro golf scene has posed topless for a calendar which sells like hotcakes on eBay.
And as she limbers up for the Ladies' English Open on the Nick Faldo-designed Chart Hills course in Kent in a fortnight's time, Sandolo reveals that the public could see even more of her in future.
"I am going to do another calendar and it will be even more revealing - subtle and tasteful but, yes, more revealing," says the stunner who is currently ranked the eighth-best player in Europe.
Sandolo, who has a degree in marketing from UCLA in the States, admits her racey approach to making ladies' pro golf more popular has raised eyebrows among European Tour officials.
But she adds: "I think now they accept that what I am doing is for the good of the game.
"Women's golf needs more visbility, glamour and a new image and I am doing my bit to bring more notoriety to the sport which I love and play."
And it's not only her looks that Sandolo, who recently finished third in the Italian Open, believes should attract men golfers to see her play.
"We can never hope to hit the ball as far as Tiger Woods. But we hit it the same distance as good male amateurs," says Sandolo, who averages 260 yards off the tee.
